So me and my friend run a server I have alot of experience over the years running them and fine tuning the plugins but I cant for the life of me remember why or what I change to allow me to see inside locked player boxes. The other owner can access the locked boxes but I cant for some reason. Is there a command? I tried ent unlock and that didnt work.

Insall that plugin and give yourself permissions:

This plugin uses Oxide's permission system. To assign a permission, use oxide.grant <user or group> <name or steam id> <permission>. To remove a permission, use oxide.revoke <user or group> <name or steam id> <permission>.
masterkey.command -- Allows player to use the masterkey command.
masterkey.box -- Allows player to unlock other players boxes.
masterkey.cell -- Allows player to unlock other players cells.
masterkey.door -- Allows player to unlock other players doors.
masterkey.gate -- Allows player to unlock other players gates.
masterkey.hatch -- Allows player to unlock other players hatches.
masterkey.shop -- Allows player to unlock other players shops.
masterkey.cupboard -- Allows player to unlock other players cupboards.
masterkey.locker -- Allows player to unlock other players lockers.
masterkey.fridge -- Allows player to unlock other players fridge.
masterkey.hackable -- Allows player to unlock hackables.
masterkey.turret -- Allows player to unlock other players shops.
To grant ALL permissions, simply use masterkey.* as the permission.

I have never thought that it was my business as an admin to interfer or go into other players bases unless raiding as a player,

vanish used to do it... dunno whats changed to stop it but mine doesnt alow it anymore.... but also im too lazy to look at my config.... so it may still do it.

How else will you know how to balance the loot etc?

Looking in what players can get in what ammount of time is part of setting up a good server that is well-balanced.

Also this is needed in order to make sure people have no cheating loot (such as 1000 c4 in a server/time that doesn't seem logical and what not)

I balance the loot by using BetterLoot and Stacksize controller, I dont care how much loot any players accumulate in any given time as some players sit around shooting at each other while others spend their time in harvesting and checking lootpiles, Some players are lazy and some are working hard all the time, If i log on after 4 hours and see that one player (if i used this plugin to check) had accumulated 100c4 (by being busy) while the other players online had very little (being lazy) I would not jump to a (false) conclusion that that player was using some kind of hack.
I do not care either about "balance" as there is no such thing, The lazy players will always complain that "it is too hard" to raid someones base because that player has spent the time in getting the material to build a decent base while they have been sitting one their arses shooting at each other or just fooling around. I have seen players log on and not move from one area on the map for over an hour, I am never sure what they are doing but it is not getting them any resources. I use ZLevels remastered so that hard working players can accumulate resources faster by being busy , why should i then look at them with concern when they are accumulating more than the lazy ones ?

How you would know how your server plays if you do not know what people are able to collect?

Of course there are gonna be differences, that's why you check everyone and then when you have compared 50 people you know what the average is.

Obviously this is only needed the first few weeks after setting up a server. Once you know how it plays and how well it's balanced there is not alot of need for it anymore. I sometimes do it when i'm bored though. Why? Because it's my server and i'm the admin and it's my job to keep an eye out for how the server plays and to be sure people aren't cheating. No having alot of c4 doesn't mean cheating.

Saying you got no "right" or something to look into someones boxes is crazy because it's literally your job to keep an eye out.

Well as my server is over 4 years old i would *by your reckoning have stopped looking a long time ago !
I am also the owner admin of my server and one thing i dont do is interfere with how the players interact/gather/accumulate/raid etc, And there is now way to "average" out what players collect when you have players who do not want to gather and only do so to build a base and those that want to gather all the time. I do know what players are able to collect as i am the one who configured the plugins to allow them to be able to do so.
And to say "its my job" to do something on my server is not "your job". When i made the comment I did not say that they should not do it only that i did not believe in doing it, What an admin does on their server is their business not mine.

Looking into someones boxes is not interfering lol.

But ok if you do not want to know whats going on thats fine but dont act like it's wrong for an admin to look into peoples boxes
