Server not starting with OxideNot An Issue
But I wanted to get involved in adding content to the server so I found oxide/umod. I have downloaded the latest version of oxide and have followed about a dozen video's and instructional web site with no luck at all. I am just running this on a failly high end desktop that is running windows 10 fully updated. I have no problem at all just running RUST, however when I go through the oxide install, actually copy over and restart the rust server none of thew folders are created and when I run the command oxide.version I get a command not found. Any help would be greatly appreciatted. Thank you.
Sounds like you are not installing into correct location.
Does your server automatically look for updates when it starts? If so the update will remove oxide.
You do not have Oxide installed of the command does not work. Make sure you aren't updating the server with Steam each start.
Does it have to be installed in the default steam location? this is where ?I have it C:\Rust_Server\Server\rustds

Oxide is installed wherever you have your Rust server installed.

It does do a validate each time so I should disable that?
You should not be updating/checking for updates with Steam for the server each time you start, this will uninstall Oxide.
Gotcha thank you for the reply, I will change that now
