The server was running fine.
Multiple people were playing until a few hours ago.
But now, when I try to log in, I get kicked out with "Steam authentication timeout: No authentication response from Rust server" and no one can log in.
Both the Oxide Ruset server and the server are up to date.
Restarting the server helps for a few hours, then it happens again.
There is nothing wrong with my network or router.
I've been running the server with the same settings for months and this is the first time this has happened

This happens to my server occasionally, like once every few months. Restarting is the only solution as far as I know, and it can only be a network glitch, there's no other possible reason.

I just checked and I can't access any servers so it might not be a server-side issue. Can you access other servers?

Solved.
It seems that all of the Steam servers were down.

This happened on my server on the last update August 21, 2024.  This happened on the servers I play on the most.  We allow VPN's and using a VPN solved my issue for my server, but for the others I play on, don't allow VPN connections, so I just have to "Hope" I'm not going to Time Out.  I've done everything of course, the Verify Files, Uninstall, Steam and Rust and then Reinstall.  Updated my Video Drivers.  Nothing has worked.  It's not as bad as it was, (every 2 minutes, 10 times in a row) ... but it still happens on occassion.

It appears that some Steam servers were under attack
