Oxide directory doesn't appear even with installation instruction...

Hi there,

I would like to install oxide on my home server so I downloaded latest rust server from official site and oxide files from umod site today.
Just running the rust server without oxide does work.
Then according to an instruction I extracted oxide files and replace RustDedicated data folder, and restart the server.
Instruction says a directory with name "oxide" will appear, but it doesn't work for me...
Could someone give any idea on possible solutions?
What I did is very simple, but I am screwing up why oxide directory doesn't appear...
I tried several times restarting from downloads, but result is still negative.

Thanks!

Do you have an auto update script? If you update or validate the install of your server it will overwrite the oxide installation.

Thank you for the advice!
After removing -autoupdate option and commenting out all the lines to execute update from run_DS file, valudation stopped and now I found the oxide directory!
That was the critical info I could not find anywhere...
So before I update the rust server, should I rename RustDedicated_Data directory to avoid overwrite and after the update I should put it back again?

Thank you very much!

When you update your server you should run the update process normally, then reinstall oxide using the latest available files.
