Is there an update checker that works with the umod site?  Since that old plugin stopped working, I've had problems with out of date plugins.. a real PITA..   Having to check versions manually isn't a good time..  miss a notification?? ...   there is no past log of notifications.. so .. they're gone after you first see them.. and your server is out of date, laggy etc.. Not the best situation for keeping up to date..  

We will be releasing something for this, but you can see a history of all notifications under your Dashboard.
