Hello there, so a player on my server issued me an error as the horses on my server are not working i.e glitched so whenever a player (and I tested it myself as well) purchase all three items from the barn for the horse - the horse isn't ridable? There a fix or this what do I need to do for the fix?

Did the player purchase a saddle, then hold down the Use key and select the claim option? This is required before the horse can be mounted.

I'm at barn now testing and it will only shows the "Examine" option for the horse nothing else not even when I try to hold the E button to claim the horse. There is no option to claim the horse.
If holding down the use button doesn't show a radial menu which prompts you to claim vs examine, then that means you don't have a saddle item in your inventory.

If you do have a saddle in your inventory, then it sounds like a cient-side bug. However, a client-side bug wouldn't explain why both you and the player who reported the issue are experiencing it.

I think the original problem was just a misunderstanding of how to claim horses.
If you are not seeing the claim option, make sure you have the new saddle items (single saddle and double saddle). As of the April 2023 Rust update, the old saddle item no longer works, but it is still available on some servers due to plugins (such as vending machine plugins) having saved the old saddle item.

Currently, players cannot claim a horse, a single saddle is available only for purchase. However, if I get a double saddle then it allows me to claim one.
Are you sure that the single saddle item you see is the new "single saddle" item, not the old "saddle" item? The old "saddle" item has the exact issue you are describing.

You'll have to update whichever plugin is giving out the wrong saddle to give out the correct one.
