I am hosting my own server on my network, and every time I try to get Rust+ to work, it either loads forever, or it outputs "Companion server failed to start". Sometimes when I do app.info it says it started and with the right stuff, but It never loads on the rust+ app. Help?
Rust+ not connecting
did you also port forward you rust + port ?
The default port should be +67 above the default game port or rcon port whatever is the highest. So, if you didn't change the default ports and want to use the Rust+ app with your self-hosted server, make sure you're using and port forward TCP 28083
Yes. I did, i tried 28083, and 28092 which is what it was default set to.
Any details that come with the start failure message?

Why exactly +67? From where that info is?
The wiki states default port should be 28082, which is +67 above the default game port (if you left it at default - 28015), but it really should be +67 above the RCON port (28016, also default) since it's the higher port number. So, if you didn't change the default ports and which to use the Rust+ app with your self-hosted server, make sure you're using TCP 28083
If you're still unsure, just open F1 console in game and type app.info and that's the IP:port the app is listening on and that's what should be forwarded through your firewall/router.
There is no error message. Its listening IP is *.*.*.* (I use pterodactyl panel). And port 28092, I've tried 28082 as well. I will try 28083 now. As I said there is no error, it just says "Server Offline"

By that logic it means that if you run more than 1 server on 1 machine, rust+ will work only on one of them
no i run 3 servers on one box ...
meaning the 1st server
28015 rcon 28016 rust plus 28083
2nd server for example 28115 rcon 28116 rust plus 28183
etc etc....
