Could this be a bug left in the code? Been running good for months, and today, one crash, and then today something i never seen happen before

How could the running process, suddenly get a process trace and reset the nic in the process
also, to be more clear the server process didnt crash, it only seemed to have caused the nic to reset and kicked all the players of course.
likely a bad cable do an ifconfig and open a ticket to the datacenter to schedule a window to replace the network cable.
