No connection to locally hosted server
Hi,

In the middle of the night all players who were connected to my server got kicked and were unable to rejoin. I woke up this morning and figured it was a fluke and restarted the server. Once everything was loaded, I went in and connected - however, the server does not appear to be "online". At the bottom of the console it shows "0b/s in, 0b/s out". I have never had an issue like this before and it seemed to come out of thin air. Can anyone help?

Thanks
if no one is online then it will show 0 in 0 out as there is no data being sent or received

Yeah that is the issue I am trying to solve...

0 data in or 0 data out if no one is online isn't an issue? not sure what you are trying to report here?

if no one can rejoin your server then check your Game IP and make sure it hasnt changed. if you internet went down it may have been an IP update unless you have a static IP address. check your computer and make sure the local IP hasnt changed during system restart and check the ports are open so that external players can join your game server.

I may have misunderstood what that represents then. I'm trying to report that even though I can log in and spawn - nobody can find the server. Battlemetrics also says it is offline. I haven't changed any Firewall settings and the ports are the same...

check your game ports are open.

I suspect you're joining your local game using F1 and client.connect localhost:XXXXX   or did you see in it in the game browser? check your servers IP and ports .. thats probably that fault here

I've been messing with the port forwarding all morning. It shows up in game for me I dont need to type in localhost. Port 28016 is open but 28015 is not - both have the same settings and permissions. I believe 28015 always says closed though?

28015 is the game port. thats why no one can connect or it cannot be seen outside your local network.
