Any benefit to multiple GPUs on server?

i have no idea how Rust works  but i have an old 295x2 video card collecting dust (duel gpu card)

i host a pvp server and a pve, can i run 1 gpu per server? if so how?

as of right now the second gpu is doing nothing. i know the card is on bus 13 and 14

cpu 3800x 8c 16t

48GB of ram @3200mhz CL16

4GB of ram on each gpu (GDDR5)

also side note would a RAM disc help at all?

I don't think having a GPU would really matter much, as the server would primarily be using the CPU.
i notice for every server i add to the pc the amount of Vram gose up by about 1.5GB capping out at 4GB's
Most servers don't have a GPU at all. The server doesn't display anything so it doesn't need it. Adding one will make zero difference to the performance.

RustDedicated is useing about 3.5% on GPU-0 on my GPU engine

and 4GB of V-RAM out of 4GB on task manager is why i'm asking

i want to know if u can split each server to each GPU since i have 2

Your OS may be reporting that it's allocating GPU and VRAM to RustDedicated, but RustDedicated is using none of it. This is now the 3rd time you've been told that your GPU has no effect on your Rust server. The answer to your question is no. You can't split GPU between servers because they don't use GPU.

oh are you an expert on windows task manager? also i only count 2 poeple say that in GENERAL servers dont use GPU... witch is a given. since i was seeing other wise i wanted to ask. i know for a FACT that my V-ram useage gose up for each Rust server i run off my server.

i was really hoping that someone who knew what they were doing would speak up, maybe a Linix user could help me out if there was a chnage on that side of the OS or maybe a setting i could change.

i really don't apreatate General commits that don't lead to anything positeve, its a waste of time for the both of us.

There may be some crossover between the Rust client and CPU where client portions remain somewhat, but they are not necessary for the server to run. You can also try adding -nographics to your startup script to see if that changes the usage. Servers shouldn't need GPUs.

i wonder if RustDedicated is useing smart access memory?, it is a technology/spec built into the PCI-e bus, i know Linix has been useing it since 2007 and facepunch dose have a Linix option for Rust to run off of.

i'd make since that its useing the faster GDDR5 RAM on my GPU first then the slower Sysyem RAM.

I also have a PC at home where I host some rust servers, and used the GPU only to install linux and ssh on it, then I remove the GPU because its big power consumptions.

I see you have 48 gb of RAM, make sure that is working in dual channel.

interesting find, i know i have them phisicaly installed in every other slot,

cpu-Z says they are running in duel channel , when i checked the slots in cpu-z it says slot 1-2 is my 16GB kit and 3-4 is my 32GB kit
