Rust server bandwidth bottleneck?

Hello,

I just moved my server to a new dedicated server within the same host. My old server had 500mbps upload and 250mbps download speeds, and this new server has 1Gbps up and down. However when I run my server in the console I get really low 4kb/s in and 32kb/s out speeds. Im not sure how or why my speeds are being bottlenecked but its causing pretty big performance issues for my server. The new host has a better cpu, ram, and bandwith than the old server but the older server has better internet. Any help?

Console shows current usage, it will not usually ever use it all - it's not capacity, its usage. E.G it doesn't show you 10000 FPS that could be possible, it shows you 239 which is the current number of frames per second. How is the performance worse? Does it teleport you, or FPS lower on server on client or?

the whole server is just laggy latency when running commands, and people getting high ping and rubberbanding

Maybe that's an issue with host and their protection or something. Contact their support. Have you tried setting the process priority to (very) high?

another problem can be the ISP you are using and what they do with the bandwidth , for instance i frequently have trouble with disconnects/lag/inability to log into server page and when i contact the server host they say its not at their end, I do a ping test and i can see that my signal (Sydney optus nbn) is going as far away as Singapore/New Delhi/Calcutta before reaching the server (Sydney) , It doesnt make any sense to me and might not be the answer, open a ticket with your server host and they will probably have an answer

Yeah but if it's lagging for everyone then should be your host/their net
