when i try to download, it just gives me a wierd file that i cant open, i searced but i could not find a way to get the file?

What about it is weird? It is a .zip file that can be opened by any zip tool.

I can't reproduce your issue. Games > Rust > Download produces a zip file.

its also a zip file by me when its downoading but the second its done it changes into this unconfirmed file

is there possibly anywhere else i can find the zip file or is this the only place i can download it? if there is can you send a link?

The link is the same as mentioned previously. I'd suggest taking a look at your system file associations to change zip back to use a tool that can open it.

I'd try a different browser. That unconfirmed file sound like Chrome doing something.
