after I installed oxide my rust server disappeared from the server list. It's still joinable from friends tab, but nowhere else even when I give my friends the IP and the port it still does not work. The only way for people to join me is from their friend's tab.

Oxide does not control if your server is listed or not, that is up to Facepunch, Rust client, and Steam. The only thing that happens when you install Oxide is a "modded" tag is added for Steam and Rust client to list your server under the Modded section of the Rust client.

Did you search for it? Did you check the Modded list? Can you directly connect to it?

i can direct connect and use the ip but others cant they can only join me when they see it on there friends tab while im online

Is the server in a local network to you?

yes it is

If they can't connect and you can, then that is an easy indication that your firewall or router is blocking or not forwarding the connection to allow outside connecitons.

I'm not sure how connecting via Friends works, but if they can't connect directly via IP and F1 console, then your port forwarding is not set up on your router.

If they can connect through the friends tab and not through the IP address you gave them... I have a feeling you're giving them your local IP address.....
