Server seems to roll back daily

Not sure this is the best title, but here goes. I will sometimes build something, and then logoff for the day. The next day when I log on, perhaps 10-15 minutes of my past progress is gone. It's as if the server restored itself from a backup that was taken 15 minutes before I logged off the day before.

I'm not an admin on this server but I am working with the owners. So far they've found nothing. Has anyone else noticed similar behavior? The server is not crashing and being restored, but it does have a daily restart and I'm leaning toward that timeframe being when this occurs. Thoughts or similar experiences?

Sounds like the server was restarted without saving. What is triggering the restart? If you are having a host do the restart, most of the time it is more of a kill than a graceful restart.
I've also seen this without a server rollback... two different perspectives.

I will put all my stuff away, log off.. comeback at some time  and find all my shit BACK in my inventory...
Have tried different ways of leaving the server   (disconnnect/quit/hard off) but only on remote servers never my locals.

If the server is doing a reset.. then you have to trigger a save manually.. since I have seen shutting down the server does not always save the state correctly for all cients.. I'm thinking  some race condition, maybe realted to the way my VM function.
The correct way to close or restart the server is typing quit or restart X in console, X being seconds, if you are closing the server any other way it will never trigger a save before closing.
Does NOT always work reliably........  as I said I think there is some race condition.....
My point of reference was from the client..... clearly if you just hit the power button or hard shutdown a server/ "kill" a program... you deserve what you get.
Cant really do anything here without the owners input on this. Its a weird and uncommon issue.

I reported this to FP so many times it AINT funny...... even supplied them a video.
they also have a triggerable  null exeption pointer error in the  binary code on a shutdown thread they launch... STILL not fixed after 3 months of reports...... maybe that thread is coming  "0000 exec addr" randomly during saves...
