Hello! I am newer to having a (rented) server for Rust.
I have quite a few questions about these monthly server wipes and would greatly appreciate answers. Most of the threads I fall on searching for this are quite old.
1. When there is a forced wipe, I understand that everything gets wiped uncluding buildings, map and blueprints. However, is there a way that I can keep the exact same map with the exact same monuments placement? I have read about seeds? But I did not quite understand it.
I wish to keep the map and momuments as is since I have altered the strength of the mobs depending on the zone the monuments are in ?
2. When the forced wipe happens, how do you update all your plug-ins? Do you have to delete the old ones in plug ins and.config, and redownload them and reupload them?
If that is so, does all the configuration work you have done in the. config files has to be redone over again?
This seems like ALOT of work to do every month if thats the case ?
3. What are the exact steps you need to do once a forced wipe has happened? (Given my server host only has a steam update option)
