So i have seen other servers change Preexistingitems into totaly looking diffrent items. where would i start on how to do that.

You'd need to figure out how to create workshop skins.

Im working on doing that. in the workshop i seem to be able to skin a sword and see the changes but if i try and skin the rug or vendingmachine no changes show.
