Rust:IO: Failed checking for updateFixed
PennaI'm still running into this thru my server host. I don't seem to be able to install manually from the link above, so are there any steps I should be taking short of repeatedly installing/uninstalling thru my host control panel and praying?
You verified that version 2.16.0 of the DLL is in /RustDedicated_Data/Managed/ and have restarted the server after?

Like clockwork, immediately after I posted here my host got it together and updated their copy. Funnily enough I can't see much of anything in /RustDedicated_Data/Managed/, I am assuming they have the files hidden.

Off-topic, but over time you may find that you need more granular control in order to do all the things you want on your server. Respectfully, you should consider spending your money with a host that offers you adequate control over the server you pay for.

Totally agree. This was a first host, so I wasn't expecting everything to be perfect. Have any suggestions?

I use BlueFang Solutions and am very happy with them. They give full access to everything and have very responsive support, should you need assistance.
Thank you, dcode. So greatly appreciated. How can we make a donation to you for your ongoing efforts?dcode
Unless you can manually install the extension into the RustDedicated_Data/Managed directory, there's nothing you can do but wait for your host to support the latest version. I know that some hosts install from http://playrust.io/latest directly so it's always the most recent version automatically, but some don't so it might be necessary to open a support ticket to notify them that there's a new version.
