I got my server all set up with oxide and I port forwarded. I can see my server in the server browser but when I click connect it takes me back to the main menu.

Are you connecting on the same network or machine as the client?
You’d need to use the local IP then via F1 console generally.

Yes, the local network IP.
If the server is on your pc, connect using "connect 127.0.0.1:28015", if on local network (other pc on network), get it's local IP, like 192.168.0.5 for example. If it's a dedicated server (I mean not on your local network), use its IP like 83.167.13.47

Ok so I am able to get into the server and run around but then it randomly times out. The Server PC is on my network. Also sometimes when connecting it just takes me back to the main menu.
That could be because of the server lags I guess or network issue.

Did you "click" on the console so it kind of stops moving etc? Like with a left click to select text / just stop the console. That could be also the reason
