Advanced Protection Radius

I am trying to increase the size of the dome to get a larger area around the base that spawns. From what I have read, in the RaidBases.json file there is the following,

"Advanced Protection Radius": {
"Maintained Events": 50.0,
"Manual Events": 50.0,
"Scheduled Events": 50.0,

When I increase or decrease this number, it always changes back to 50. I have tried editing the file, save it then reload the plugin. I have tried by removing the plugin, editing the file, save then readd the plugin. Im using Carbon and I see no way to change these values from the built in UI.

Thanks for any help. I am using the free version currently.

heya. that is how you do it. the plugin will not revert that setting so something else is causing that issue. the file is not being uploaded, isn't being saved, has a cache issue, file permission issue (highly unlikely for a config file) or something else caused by the host

increasing that radius can and will break the plugin if you set it too high. it generally should not be increased unless you are using custom spawn points, but you can try.

hmm, that is what I thought.

I do have many plugins installed so I decided to start over and only have copy/paste and raidable bases. This way if it was another plugin causing the issue, I can start adding them 1 by 1. I also setup another server on a different computer with all fresh downloads. I tried using both Carbon and Oxide, with and without copy/paste also but, I still have the same issue. I have ask some friends to have a look and see if they are able modify the numbers.

I do intend to use custom spawn points to help prevent breaking the plugin. Thanks for the heads up. Ill report back when my friends have had a chance to try and replicate my issue and find a solution.

custom spawn points is a great idea. let me know when you find the cause. it shouldn't be any plugin causing it

So after doing some testing, I discovered this is only an issue with the free version and Carbon. This is what we did to test this:

A fresh copy of Rust with Oxide and only having the free version installed, we have to first shut the server down, edit the json file in Profiles, save it, start the server and the changes remain applied and do not default back to 50. If this process is not followed, the plugin will default back to 50.

When using a frech copy of Rust with Carbon, no matter the operational order, it always defaulted back to 50.

I had another person try and replicate my experience and came to the same conclusion. I then asked someone with the paid version to work with me  and using Carbon or Oxide, there were no issues with modifying the radius. We then tried the paid version with all my plugins and configs and there were no issues. So I bought the paid version, lol.

Thank you for all your help both here and through a mutual friend :)

ah yes you are right. it's specific to Protection Radius and I've fixed it in the next update. thanks
