Disable grid and use spawn file?

In the description I see "You can disable using the grid by providing a valid spawn file for each raid type (buyable, maintained, scheduled and manual)."

Where can I read more about this method? I am setting up a custom map this round for my server, and most of the custom monuments wont be detected (unless I am wrong... which would be badass if I was wrong) to prevent spawning the bases on them.

Am I correct in thinking this method would allow me to pick specific spots for bases to spawn? That would be neat, I could then design a base for a specific crevase or something, and test it locally.

Hope the new year finds you well Nivex.

yes, you can use this method for that. just create a spawn file using custom spawn points. then put that spawn filename in the config under Buyable Events, Maintained Events, Manual Events, Scheduled Events

Spawns Database File (Optional)

also, it should be able to detect your monuments. load the map up on a server and type /rb grid next to it. if there are green X inside of the monument then it didn't detect it, if no X then it did detect it.
I will do that and check it out. We would LOVE to keep using RB with our Keirox map.

Thanks for the info!

I added "Spawns Database File (Optional)": "RaidableBases" in by Buyable Events, Maintained Events, Manual Events and Scheduled Events, but for some reason it is ignorig my grid...

I created a grid with 150 spawn options but its ignoring them all

did you save the spawn file as RaidableBases?

yes i did

if it's not loading then reload Spawns and make sure it says it loaded it

nope still, nothing...

simply just ignores my grid

if Spawns doesn't say it loaded then it isn't going to load. a server restart might fix it. it was a bit finicky for me at one point too when trying to add a new spawn file and put it in the rb config.

FINALLY Got it! Wow what a mission, but now i know the consept and the work behind it so it will be easy now

what was the problem and how did you fix it
