100% protected still taking damageSolved

I just watched a player use wooden spears to softside a floor on a 100% protected base.

The damage the spear was doing did not remove any scrap from the TC.

Each hit with the spear took one damage from the stone floor.

The amount of scrap in the TC did not change as 500 damage was done to the floor.

If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.

I have offered the person that wrote this plugin money to do some work on it but have not recieved a response.

Apparently overlapping TC ranges mess with it.

It said 100% protected but probably taking into consideration another TC that had scrap in it.

Yeah I suspected overlapping TCs was a problem from looking at protection coverage of players who have been raided - I used VisualCupboard to do this. It seems the exploit that at least one player on my servers has realised is to place a TC as close to the base as they can and it then becomes raidable. It came to my notice when a player had placed several TCs in his area and one or more of them were overriding his main base TC.

So I think I'm going to have to remove this plugin and let everyone know. Or I could just hope that no more than this one single player (that I've noticed) shares the information about how to raid supposedly protected bases.
