I'm not the most skilled in C# but a plugin that greatly helped me on my server but is sadly deprecated is Finder. Found here

It was abandoned as there are other plugins such as Find Owner they do the same thing.

I currently use entityowner on my own server and there is what you suggested but Finder didn't require you to look at blocks to find stuff. You could use /bag {name} to find someones bags they placed down and you could teleport to those. Same applies to cupboards and building blocks. It was a really useful plugin for finding players multiple bases or seeing if they had bags in someone elses base.

I used Finder back in the Oxide days and found it to be very usefull in finding abusive players. Will this ever be imported and updated to the current version of Rust?

Find Owner... must use /prod on every tile ..... may as well use ent who
entityowner.... same thing.

these do not do the same thing Finder did.

i have a older version of Finder and works fine with the last oxide version. it have some extras output to the console because of the chat restriction. i can pm u later if i at home again around 9hours.

Features:
- Find all players with partial names
- Find all sleeping bags owned by a specific player
- Find all doors owned by a specific player
- Find all sleepers with partial names
- Teleport to any of your results
(You may request for me to add other elements to find)

Commands:
- /FindPlayers NAME/STEAMID => returns all players AND sleepers that partially or fully match the name, or returns the player that has the specific steamid
- /FindDoors...
