Is there anyway to change the chat icon from the rust logo

It doesn't have an option for that, if that's what you are asking. I would suggest using the Custom Icon plugin instead.

Are you using BetterChat plugin ? it usually displays the players avatar *icon in chat . I use PlayerRankings by Ankawi and have no problem with chat icons
