Would anyone be interested in taking over a x1000 server?

My server term ends in a few weeks and I doubt I want to spend more time and money on it so i'm planning on stopping it.

However: the server is doing pretty well. It usually has +20 people on the weekends but sometimes it's even 30 people online and the record was 40 online. Only lately it's a bit more quiet during the week, but it might be because i'm not there alot anymore.

It would be a shame letting a good and succesful server go to waste so i'm wondering if anyone here that wants a server like this would be interested in taking over? Obviously the server would be yours then since you are the new owner, but obviously everyone including yourself wants the server to stay the same. So please don't respond if you wanna change the server or make it x5 or something completely different. The point is that you take over, not change it completely. You would be better off renting a new server then. It's supposed to be x1000 and keep it pretty much like it is with all its plugins (no blueprints, no workbenches, teleportation, kits, shop and so on).

In the past i've done this too for other games: Finding someone who wants to take over a succesful server when I didn't want to spend time and money on it instead of cancelling it and letting everyone lose their home.

This has been proven to be much appreciated by everyone.
A) Me that doesnt want to do it anymore, i will probably only come to play every now and then
B) Players that dont lose their favorite server/their home
C) You, the new admin who has a succesful server without needing to do much for it themselves.

A win-win-win situation. However I can't find anyone ingame or in my steam friends list that would be interested so I thought i'd try this but it might be a risk cause I dont know the person that would want to take over.

So yeah, i'm wondering if anyone here would maybe be interested in taking over a x1000 server and continue it's legacy.

Obviously it would be your job to keep all the plugins up to date and do the weekly wipe and to update everything on the monthly forced wipe.

Please only respond if you're an adult and have experience with rust servers and also the time to do this (especially on thursdays) so there is a better chance the server would thrive on.

How much does it cost to run each month?

I would take it over, but I would transfer it to my dedicated box in STL.
switching IPs is a big nono if you want to keep your old population that's how a lot of big servers DIE they're like we need some more performance go out and buy a new dedicated server have to redo all their vote sites and stuff then just like that its dead AF sure mostly a few of the loyal regulars will join Over but most of the time they killed their server and have to rebuild.

I'll let you know, I have a server of my own, and I am looking for another, but don't have the time to completely set one up.
When is the bill due?
And are you looking for compensation for taking the server off of your hands?

Yes thats why I mean taking over. It would stay at the same host with the same ip. Players wouldnt notice it.

In about in a month or so. Also nah I don't expect compensation but if someone wants to give me a small thank you for setting everything up I would appreciate it since it has cost me alot of work getting the server where it is today. Sign of appreciation or a viprank etc always appreciated of course. But what I mostly care about is that the server stays succesful like it is and people are happy with it. I would also start to play myself sometime because I sometimes miss it as admins/owners dont play on the same server. But i've set it up exactly how I like it so I would totally play there myself if I was a player.

The most important thing is that if someone takes it over he's 100% serious and wants to keep up with updating everything and troubleshooting. It is a busy x1000 server with lots of plugins so it can be a bit of a headache sometime. You need to be aware of that and you need to be motivated in keeping up with it. The last thing I want is someone taking over and then he forgets to update it or wipe it resulting in an unplayable server.

At the moment I got some people interested in it but I would recommand just to play on the server first so you get a feel of it and see how it works and to see if you even like it. Cause if you don't like it or want too much stuff to change then I don't think you should take over yourself.

Please be aware of todays forced wipe. Lately it's been a bit laggy so when todays forced Rust update hits i'm gonna reinstall it completely to keep everything nice and fresh. Please be aware that after every Rust update some plugins may break untill the author of those plugins has updated them.

@Goldie
My funds are currently a little low, I'll be happy to take it over, and allow your players a new home.
I'll try to fund it while I still can.

Correction, not a new home, but keep the server they enjoy alive and running.
If change IP rip? I am hosting bulgarian server and changed IP`s over 20 times for 1 year. I have hope they find it via low ping in community or via Bulgaria in the name. because thats not minecraft and we have server browser also (option to change old ip with new in rust-servers.net) how bad changing IP is?
