Server Hosts (for Rust etc) post your reviews/thoughts/tips
I have had a total of 3 Rust servers from 2 different companies but both have been annoying the f* out of me.

My first 2 servers were from SurvivalServers. They had good support and my first server ran very well eventhough I didn't have alot of players so I stopped it. Then a while later I rented one again and with the knowledge I had before I was able to make a real succesful server. Unfortunately these guys decided to change the server location on me thus giving me an entire new ip resulting in losing about 90% of my playerbase. This pissed me off so bad that I cancelled the server.

A few months later I decided to rent a server again (my current server i have now), this time at gameservers.com after doing some google research. But with this server I keep having alot of crashes. When contacting them about it a few weeks ago they said Rust is a memory intensive game and we have made changes accordingly. Everytime when you ask them to what they exactly did they dance around the subject. Yesterday I had contacted them again about crashes that started again (probably because the server is more busy now than ever) they said they have increased the memory from the default 4gb to 6gb. So what did they do last time? All in all this seems very sketchy.

So yeah... Obviously I got a big playerbase now so i'm stuck with them because I don't want a different ip again like last time because this kills your server, but the way they respond to your support tickets also seems shady af. They say they increased your memory then later they say they increased your memory from the default. So from what did they increase it the first time then? Or did they change it back to the default after a week of no complaints?

Let me know what kind of server host you use and what your experience with them is.
I had similar experience with gameservers.  It worked really well until popularity and plugin use started to kill it.  Literally, when you exceed the allowed memory, the server process is killed and restarted.  They respond quickly and will usually up your server memory, to a point.  If you pay for more slots you'll get more memory, etc.  I opted to move (yes, ip change and resulting loss of players) to a dedicated server at linode.  It's more expensive (about 4x) and not a game host.  It's a full VM for you to do as you please.  I am much happier since I am in control of when the server restarts.  But it is a bit more work since you have to be familiar with Linux, etc.
Well for me that isn't really an option since i like to keep things simple and cheap. But as you may gather from my post cheap also means they are cheap....

But still if SurvivalServers didn't change ip on me I would've stayed there. GameServers is cheap because they are so big but i feel like their machines are real shit and not enough for a modded Rust server.

So I would still like to hear about other companies from other people
https://gameserverkings.com cheap and very reliable all of their nodes come equipped with latest and greatest CPUs , 64 gb of ram , SSDs. and from what I'm told they only pack 4-5 clients per node . so far it's the best shared hosting i have seen
Used gamesers before years when there were early rust experimental updates (crossbow added, 1st skins and etc.) I was happy but my friend used control panel at all and i have lack of experience (in-game was stable and smooth vanilla). Now i am hosting bulgarian server and things are difficult. No population, also have to be bulgarian host with IP (nothing for rust over the internet) Started dedicated my pc, then rented 2nd machine in my home and started hosting 24/7, then tried SCALACUBES.COM and was unable to change server banner without plugin that updates info because ocntrol panel is simplified but also poor as shit. And again moved to dedicated machine. for max 10 players also internet hosts are expensive and no bulgarian IP`s... but ig you want to host EU sevrer use gameservers.net its still good and stable host for me. (just a little expensive but 8Euros woth.)
gameservers.com is trash unless you host run very lite mods or vanilla if you run a 10/20x server with all the normal plugins that most other servers run and you get 15-30 players it will crash alot they only give you 3.5gb of ram for 50 slots even at max 200 slots they only give 8gb of ram.

like I recommended https://gameserverkings.com they start you out with 8gb with 50 slots if it crashes all you got to do is contact support they will bump it to 1gb till the crashes go away for free.
