Please note that this is a long post and I do apologize but I need to be very very clear. 

In some ways this is a classified for Rust SDK development, or a Help Wanted Ad.

I am coming to the community in need of Developers for a progressive evolving Rust server concept.

I am not looking for mediocre design works, I am looking to produce a quality driven server that caters to those looking for a different but quality character server experience.

I am being very particular and taking a somewhat enigmatic approach to this project and want only the finest dedicated creators available. But I do not want to waste anyone's time nor do I want mine wasted.

Therefore I am ensuring for myself that my selection process will be justified by listing an exhaustive agenda describing prerequisites and requirements. To be clear, this is non negotiable.

No one has to like it however this is what I require. If this is not your cup of tea, Thank you for reading this far.

So what is this all about? The Redemption...

The Redemption is a Rust modded instance that will provide a unique approach to the game.

This is not a 24 hour operational server but rather a special events server that will be developed in the form of a single instance.It will piggyback off my main server and rewards will carry over from the event server.

Groups of 8 players will band together facing obstacles that will progressively intensify as the team advances,but they only have 5 lives each. Expire those...their game is done.

Using Rust mechanics, teams will face a number of challenges through detailed specific tasks and coordinated timed missions.

NPC's will accommodate the instance by having multiple aligned types of personality traits. Some will assist players,while others will attack you, and quite possibly what may be nice then may not be nice in the future (and vice versa).

Attacking NPC's WILL BE AGGRESSIVE and will progressively gain health stats each wave. They will be able to use Rocket Launchers, Flame throwers and Grenades as well as snipe you from a distance. The team will need to take in all considerations.

Each stage will be completed by a specific task. One stage may require the team to escort an NPC to safety. Another may require the team to acquire certain assets for future objectives. Each will be unique with the possibility of facing stage ending bosses.

With that said, details for the stages and overall game concept will be discussed further at a more

pertinent time. I do not want, nor will I discuss any concept related questions here on the forum ,via email or any other messaging form if you are not a part of the team.

The Map... 

World size - 2200 and probably going to be the best part of the scenario.

The map will be HIGHLY detailed and designed for each event stage.

If there is one thing that you will hear me speak the most of,is details and in the smallest form of.

We will bring in custom buildings, custom prefab billboards*signage*banner*logo designs, pattern dress ID skins and custom plugins to bring a different approach to Rust.

I am looking at everything I can (without overkill) to bring the most dramatic of scene scapes offered in the Rust SDK library. In other words, I want people dying in the game due to them not paying attention at what is in front of them because they were to busy looking around. Ok..lol that probably wont happen, but I think you know where I am going with that.

Details details details in every regard, and I will not substitute anything less.

In a nutshell What I am looking for...

I am looking for a small team of content developers to bring this to fruition. Serious in every way with desire and creative vision to see this through.

As mentioned, details in every aspect.

This is not for the casual or the beginner/intermediate. I need skilled artists with high knowledge of the Rust SDK and even going as far as to making this a*funded project. *tbd in private and will not converse the details of any sort, here. Monetary compensation will be discussed 1 on 1 when the developer is brought on. Discussions will ONLY be made with the individual and never the group.

Determination of compensation will be based on production and time based tasks

My intentions & Moving forward... 

I have had many iterations of this project through the years. The difference was creating manually vs now the SDK in which I am attempting to create a static map and design concept that only needs to be reset.

Since Legacy I have been a server owner and extremely knowledgeable to the mechanics of plugins and modding Rust servers. I have had great success with the manual versions, now...I want to make it permanent using the SDK editor.

I am not expecting this to be an over night and done project. This will take some time to develop. You will also be included in full credit and I will promote your work on any media outlet that pertains to the subject matter.

The project already has a base outline in current development which includes these areas  :

1: Map Development / Path creation

2: Story Development / Character path creation

3: Stage Detailing

4: Plugins

The Interview...

If this seems interesting to you, the first part is an indirect interview.

Before I engage in any further conversations about this I am wanting to see your work.

Not screenshots but an actual physical working model of your work.

This means I want to go onto a server with your custom map work and physically be able to move around looking at your details (no floating rocks, correctly positioned pre fabs,personal creativity, etc) There I will determine a number of things. Flow of the map as well as navigational friendly path layouts will be a huge area for me.

Is the presence of terrain painting appealing. Are they able to terrain tool properly. Are they using stock fabs or are they utilizing a multitude of fabs to create a more interesting environment.  In those fabs are they utilizing the index to it's fullest by adding the smallest of details ( ie:  Abandoned cabins. Sure you can order up this fab and lay it right down on your terrain and call it a day. Or, you could take each cabin and out fit it with more lighting, you could add extra furniture,signs,pictures,etc)

In a nutshell, how much effort did they actually put into it. This is the general examination and these are areas that will assist me in a determination.

I will make exceptions for those who have a private server space that wish to make something "on the fly". However, the process is the same and there will not be exceptions made.

Custom pre fab show offs are a plus. Plugin Developers also encouraged to apply.

I am opening this up for a period of three weeks and only putting this out on RustEdit and Oxide Forums. No announcement will be made here or anywhere else as to whom is brought on for this position. Once again, everything on the down low,which you are expected to be as well

I will answer (most) questions concerning the position available but again, I will NOT answer any questions regarding the concept,aesthetics or server promotions.

This reason is based on many factors.

One, it is quite frankly, way to early to even go there. Two, I am not trying to spam the forum here. Three, quite a lot of trolls and fan boys in Rust, I am sure there are some here as well. This just eases any possibility of such a thing occurring.
