My players are having issues with random deaths upon TP into any safezone, i think its either 1 due to them being hostile, or 2 due to them holding items that they shouldn't be holding upon TP, any chance there is a fix/bypass to this?

no, use a plugin that prevents them from being hostile. this happens when they kill scientists npcs and such, even in vanilla
