I cant seem to get my new icons to appear in game correctly ie grayed out when not active, coloured when active

Can you please share a link to the image you're trying to use? You can view the image that the plugin uses Here. The image should have a transparent background and the icon should be completely white.

Alright yeah I got it, thanks. is ther any way to center the icons above the hotbar? they are currently to the right hand side.

Yes in MagicPanel.json find which dock you're using for those panels and set the "Panel Alignment" to "Center".
