Is there a way to create a custom item in hurtworld v1?

Yes, its possible via SDK

I mean v1 is already abandoned and it will be replaced by v2 version soon. I would suggest doing v2 stuff only

It won't be removed completely, it will basically switch positions with current v2. You will need to change game branch in steam game settings BETAS > Choose old Hurtworld. But hosting companies etc won't support the abandoned game. Kinda Rust legacy situation. Anyway V2 is much better

You need to open SDK folders as project, shigi tools is included you don't need to add/download it.
