Oxide not installing on Survival ServersSolved
I've hosted a server through SurvivalServers and used FileZilla and WinSCP for http://FTP. but every time I log onto my server, it's still the vanilla game. What am I doing wrong?
I'd suggest contacting your host, as it sounds like there is something that is running Steam to update the server each start, else Oxide was not fully installed.

How would I know oxide is fully installed?

Oxide would work and commands such as oxide.version will be valid.

So I don't know if I have oxide installed then? My plugins are functioning but oxide.version isn't recognized. I downloaded the .zip file and replaced the Hurtworld on my server with the one in the .zip file.
Where are you using the oxide.version command?

Where are you using the oxide.version command?

In the F1 console command space

How are you using it?
Press F1> type "oxide.version"> Result is "Unknown command: oxide.version"

Try:

rcon oxide.version

Try:

rcon oxide.version

That worked. Do I need to preface every command with rcon then?

When sending commands to the server form the client, Hurtworld requires the rcon prefix.

Thank you and sorry for being uneducated about this.
