Change values from (announce <message>) commandSuggestion

Hey

at first thank you for the Plugin.

Is it possible to choose all the values for the "announce <message>" Command, Banner Color, Font Size, Font Color etc ?

Maybe a section in the config for that Message or that this message takes the values from Test Message.

best regards,

DELTA

That's not currently possible.
The font size is changed for all announcements and is set in the general settings section of the config.

and no way to set the banner Color as well for the announce command ?

or add more options to the general options so that every message that havent its own values use the general values ?

I could add config options to change the colours etc for the /announce command.

Or I could possibly put some command formatting to set the colours with the command so you can do it for each manual announcement? I'm not sure how to format that though. Any ideas yourself?

I dont know if its possible to do it direct in the command line.

For me the better solution is to add some lines to the config with all values for the command like the test command.

I use this feature to announce an unplanned Restart for an update or something like that and to time the banner is the only gray banner we have on the server so nobody notice it. cause every important announce has a color on our Server.

It's easily possible to do it through the command. Anything is possible.

I dislike the idea of setting the colours through the config because then you'll be stuck with that for all announcements. You'd have to edit it and reload the plugin if you wanted to change the colour.

If you did it in command line you could chose the colours based on the importance if your announcement on the fly, it just needs some careful thought of the best format for this in regards to ease of use and easy to remember and understand etc.

Also why not schedule a restart using the commands for an update? You can schedule it in and it will do all the announcing and countdowns etc automatically for you. Depending on how you have it set up, you might just have to stop it from starting back up if you do updates manually.

Thats an argument.

To do it with a command is probably the best way to do it.

I only use the scheduled for configured in the config for our daily restarts.

I dont want to use the normal restart message for the update restarts. If i see Rust or Oxide or a Plugin or all of that has an update, i look how many players are online, look what they doing and how important the updates are and how many work i have to do (rewrite config or something like that) may i ask if everybody is ready for e restart in the next few about 30mins and than i decide to made an annouce fpr everyone.

2 or 3 Times and than i shutdown the Server, runnig steam Update, Oxide and/or Plugin and restart the Server, its a dynamic way i handle it :)

i hope you understand what i mean. im from germany and english isnt my mother language :)

You're English is understandable :)

I'll look at bundling this with some other updates that are due.

Thank you :)

may it is possible to set se position of the Banner with 2 values so you can change the position and how big the banner is.

its not very important but its nice to have. may important messages can have a bigger banner than unimportant or something like that everyone can do it by himself with this values.
