Entities Disappearing Randomly

Has anyone else been experiencing issues where after a while into wipe, entities randomly start to disappear? I believe last wipe it was nTeleportation plugin causing it but I updated that at the beginning of this wipe. Now I'm getting reports of random entities disappearing again. 

 

One of the symptoms is floating pipes and wires from what use to be lines running to connectors etc. 

 

If you guys have any ideas, it would be much appreciated. I've also heard its potentially a FP bug. 

 

Hi, not a clue unfortunately, but the reason I'm posting right now is we had the same issue in October, first time I ever witnessed that.

The last time it was something occlusion related for us.

Now again after the Christmas patch on 18th we wiped, it started to happen again, to some players.

Players entities and i/o connecters like you mention, pipes and so on  or cables and switches, sometimes boxes even construction, parts vanish and dissappear compeltely from sight.

It was patched out previously, at the moment I have no idea what to do sadly.

For reference we run the Oxide frame work in a Linux environment and it only occurs when the server is restarted.

Did you notice is it only on restarts, or can your reproduce the problem?

We'll be testing removing server occlusion grids from now on, it seems like its either directly causing an issue with players and / or most definitely some plugins including networking problems / also because some plugins may not be well udpated in regards to networking the correct data to clients etc.

 

will be trying to add to the script   .sh    if on a Linux machine o the .bat   batch file in a windows environment

either way, adding -disable-server-occlusion  to the startup script will remove the grid from being generated, this hopefully will alleviate these problems. 

Please don't do this during a wipe without testing, I don't know if it will invalidate your save states.
