Error when running self-compiled uMod PatcherNot An Issue
Not sure where this belongs but here you go...

I compiled the uMod patcher and tried to play around with it, but ran into a few problems.

1. The patcher throws an error of unknown hook type for the internal hooks (InitOxide [internal])
2. For 7 Days to Die, Assembly-UnityScript-firstpass.dll was missing and code wasn't showing, just the MSIL. I stole a dll from my Rust files and it seems to have worked.

Any help for #1 would be appreciated

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
The uMod patcher is unreleased and unsupported, it also is not for patching Oxide and self-patching is not supported. ;)

The error means you aren't using a compatible patch file. Pre-compiled builds of the patcher are available by the way.
So we can't make our own hooks and things anymore?

You can, but we don't really support that. You are mixing different versions though; a patcher not intended for Oxide and a patch file not intended for the uMod patcher. You shouldn't be copying game-specific DLLs from another game though, that will not work.
I just copied the 1 dll and the code started showing up in the patcher, so that part seems to work. I'm patching uMod, not Oxide, the error is from the obj in the 7days uMod master. I'll keep playing with it for a bit before I give up and try something else I guess. Thanks for the quick reply

Copying Assembly-CSharp-firstpass or any similar game-specific DLL would not work, that is specific to that game; others such as UnityEngine.dll may work fine.

If you are intending to patch Oxide, you'd need to be using the Oxide patcher, not the uMod patcher. The error in your first post is from using the uMod patcher with the Oxide .opj file for Rust; you'd need to use the Oxide patcher for patching Oxide. If you are patching for uMod (not released and not used yet), then you'd need to use the uMod patcher and the uMod-compatible .opj from the develop branch of the game you are patching for. Hooks such as InitOxide were renamed, as were others.
Ok, that makes more sense. Thanks for the clarity. The 7days master I downloaded was named uMod.SevenDaysToDie-master so I assumed it was uMod, but that's not the case. The Oxide Patcher 2.0.0 reads the obj just fine, I really thought I tried that already but apparently not.

I'm sure copying Assembly-CSharp-firstpass would fail, but Assembly-UnityScript-firstpass seems to be Unity and it didn't mind being copied ;)

Ok, that makes more sense. Thanks for the clarity. The 7days master I downloaded was named uMod.Seve...
The develop branch for each game is the only uMod branch at the moment; the others are still Oxide as we haven't released uMod builds yet.

The key to the error above is the InitOxide -> InitMod rename, all of which should have already been handled under the develop branch.
I thought it was odd, but maybe just wasn't renamed yet lol. I should have known better
