So my Rust server is working fine, but I can't seem to add plugins. When I copied and pasted the stuff from the Oxide zip file to the rustds folder, it says it replaced stuff, but I still don't get a folder. There is a plugins folder in the Rust Dedicated folder, but when I put plugins in there and start the server, they don't work. Most recent videos I have seen on installing mods with Oxide show a folder, am I missing a step or something?
No Oxide FolderSolved
The folder is created when Oxide is successfully started with Oxide. The "oxide" folder is located where your RustDedicated.exe is by default, not where most videos have it. If you do not see any indication of Oxide when running the server, then it isn't installed or was removed by updating with Steam.
In response to SlavicWhale ():There is no Oxide folder in the RustDedicated.exe. There is only Managed, Plugins, Resources, and S...
It'd be in the same location as RustDedicated.exe, otherwise you do not have it installed properly. Make sure your .bat you use to start the server is not running SteamCMD each start.
In response to SlavicWhale ():How do I check if it is? Like what would it say.
If you are running the server locally, you'd see the actual Oxide verison on the server console that shows up. You'd also have the oxide folder, logs that show Oxide loading, etc. To me it sounds like your startup script runs SteamCMD, which would remove Oxide.
