Show character count/limit on plugin update notesSuggestion

Hi,

I just spent about 45 minutes trying to update my plugin with change notes etc. and it kept telling me it was over 3500 characters.

I was putting it all into Word and checking the character count in there because I couldn't see one on the update page.

Despite going under 3500 characters in Word by over 400 characters (including spaces) it kept telling me I was over the limit.

Is there supposed to be a character count somewhere?

I couldn't see one, so after 45 minutes of frustration just linked to the change log in my Trello.

It counts the formatting as well, so a lot of formatting would increase the count.

Ok yeah that would. Is it possible to add a character counter?

(Thank you for doing such a good job on the update and the notes. Notes are really important and I appreciate that!)
