I want to test the process and procedure to test /verify.  The problem is that I already once verfied and can not find a way for my bot to now recognise me.  I've deleted my steam id from the data file and have done a /dc leave but anytime I messsage the bot I get: 'You are already verified.'

How do I become unverified.

just remove the permissions manually.
