Industrial item and pipe supportSuggestion

Will CopyPaste need to be updated to correctly copy industrial automation deployables and placed pipes (much like placed electrical wires)?

Without question.

The configured items doesn't get copied for the conveyors, so we need to do something like take a screenshot and use paint to label each one in a complicated setup. So when you paste you need to reconfigure each one to send the right stuff like wood and sulfur ore to a furnace, then the crafter loses all of it's inventory and blueprint as of now.

Then pipe colors, which I wont hold my breath since the electrical wire colors are still not being copied. Colors still help for tracing I suppose.
I shouldn't have jumped right into it lol. I spent all day retrofitting a 4 large furnace/4 small refinery all indoor base all feeding off of 8 large boxes with charcoal returning from all 8 and sulfur return and using crafter to do gun powder. All the metals go into their own boxes.
Total of 11 conveyors, 11 splitters, 10 combiners, and a crafter.
A literal spaghetti factory.

EDIT:
So even after re entering item data after paste, none of it works.
I copied it as a different name for now and ent killed all the new conveyor item setup.

I've been trouble shooting what needs fixed. The storage adapters just need replaced for the main system to work. When pasting in a setup.

Electric furnace the io isnt working correctly. It ends up having a second set of connections. 

I have a build server where people spend hours making cool setups. Which sucks for them because they won't work when they come back.

That means that this awesome fun, useful update goes the way of the elevator. 
I wish I could code.
For the right price I'd be willing to invest in this plugin as it is the game for me and how I play it.
It is required, otherwise I wouldn't be playing Rust at all since long ago.

This is still broken. 

  • storage adapters need to be picked up and replaced
  • batteries do not keep their charge although water storage containers remain full
  • conveyers have their filters wiped and need to be reprogrammed
  • electric furnance won't work until destroyed and replaced (second set of connectors will appear on replacing)
When can we expect a fix?

Bumping this up. I was hoping that it'll get fixed in a future release

Given the rumor that FacePunch is looking to add copypaste functionality in some capacity for QA/testing purposes (https://commits.facepunch.com/r/rust_reboot/main/copypaste), is this on hold?

I sure hope not as what gets implemented in game doesn't typically match what plugins provide...
