is it possible to copy a building made in my rust server and then use rust edit to turn it into a prefab?
i know i can do pasteback as using custom map, but it would be quicker to have it as a prefab.

any help apprieciated and copy and paste is an excellent plugin so big up respect to all coders who created, worked on and continue to maintain it!

@misticos   it was easy enough to turn it into a prefab but then it was useless as couldnt install elevators lol

gave it a good go though.

how did you do that? as i'm not familiar with maps nor their format or prefabs stuff at all, so I have no idea about that haha

I copied it in copy n paste,  then opened rust edit and top left scrolled along and there is an import option on tools/prefab/tools/Import CopyPaste

I think if you put a tool cupboard down with yourself added before you copy it may allow you to do stuff but not too sure, as i didnt do  that and couldnt add to it once it was a prefab and ingame,  couldnt be arsed to try it again lol

but i will eventually lol just to see if its possible to then add elevators and make them work or not
