Copy through a wipe?

I am curious, if I copy an event building I've been working on, more or less the size of a monument, will I be able to wipe the server and still paste it, or will it be gone? If so, is there anyway I can copy the files in the plugins config files to save the building, and then upload them back into the config after the wipe? I would really like to use this costum monument I've been building for a large event on a new wipe cycle, but due to its size and complexity it would take me several days to build if I don't find an option to bring it with me through a clean wipe.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Usually people use map editors in this case but i think so.

This is the first time I've owned a server, I will look into the map editors but if anyone that currently uses this plugin and is wiping their server soon wants to try it and confirm whether it works or not for me I'd be greatly appreciative.

Hi Citles.

No need for a map editor.

The /serverfiles/oxide/data/copypaste folder shouldn't be removed between wipes unless your whole server is wiped. Take backups of everything just in case. That folder shouldn't be touched though...

You can definitely paste copied buildings between wipes and indeed different maps.

On my (Highly modified) Rust server, I give my VIP players access to copy their base once per wipe then I manually paste them once only on Day1 of wipe to save about eleventy hours of building for them. I manually remove loot to remove any unfair advantage from that side of things.

Keep in mind that a pasteback is different will take the literal XYZ position where it was copied paste it back exactly on any different map (thus in the air or under terrain) ask me how I know :P
