Electrical wires not being copiedSolved
Seems there is an issue with latest version(s) where it doesn't copy electrical wires for me.
It pasted all my previous work back just fine, but that was copied at least 6 months or more ago, probably quite recently after they introduced electrics. When I tried to save it now, I notice that even though I added quite a lot of wiring andd lights to my build, filesize is about half of the previous save, and when I try to paste that back there are no wires. It seems that the circuits kind of work until I try to disconnect or reconnect a wire, and then there are problems all over. Tried reverting back to v4.1.4 after reading an old post where someone fixed a similar problem by doing that, but that didn't work for me either. I see the last update of this is 7 months old now, so really hoping it is still being maintained or someone else will continue supporting this, as Rust is pretty fucking worthless to me as a creative builder without it.
Hello. Thank you for your report, I am aware of it. I recently claimed it and I am going to update it sure. I am going to try different variants of saving data so it may take some time.
Hey Misticos :) Ty for quick response and taking the reigns on this one. I really don't mean this as nagging you, but just wondering if you made any progress and if there is any hope it will be fixed before forced wipe as I am still very much hoping I can save my giant building complex and not have to redo that fairly complex specific circuit after finally figuring it out after days of work. If not:  is there any alternatives way to save a building that works right now?
So you tell me I have just a week to fix it :(
Actually you can just leave the same sav file and rename it (change the number that's xxx, like there is seed or sth and these three nums - just increment it)
weeell....now u do... your previous reply was 3 weeks ago, so what did you do with all that time? You programmers and your sex, drugs and rock'n'roll lifestyles...tsk tsk! ;) I already backed up both the .map and .sav, and it's on my local server, so I should be good then? unless facepunch does something really stupid to the seed gen routines again I'm guessing... ty for reply :)
I can make a plugin for ya that'll allow you to join from a newer version an older server, so that you'll be able to use copy paste on ur old server build version and your same map
sounds like a lot of extra work for you though... It's not that important for me alone really.. It would be great to copy it, but I have taken pictures of my wiring to, so should be a lot quicker to set up again now that I figured out the difficult parts if all else fails. On the other hand...that might be useful for other server owners as well, so might still be a good plugin idea? I think in most cases people would just be ecstatic if you get copypaste updated again though.
got the same problem wires are invisible and some electrical components not working

Goodevening,

I also have a funny bug. Far away from the building you see the complete wiring of the building floating in the air. (check picture)

can u check whats wrong with electrical wires ? invsible and some parts not working
This should be a rust bug then, @Herb. I am going to rewrite this plugin soon, wait please :)
thank you
I have a weird problem here! The electrical cables do not show up but they surely work, in a way or in another, because all my electrical trapbases work! :-D
All my electrical components are lit and working, the sensor detect the players, the turrets fire... But the cables are invisible.

Weird, uhu? ;-)
yay :)
ye but i want to see this wires :D my electrical stuff is a bit more complex
