You can see on both clips that while upgrading, the structure gets to Twig for some reason. This is only happening with users that are using the plugin. This does not happen for users that bought the DLC (myself) I tried couple of times but couldn't make it happen, only with the plugin this tends to happen for unknown reason. Please take a look at that.

Building gets Twig while upgrading
I assume this is happening because it seems like when you upgrade from example stone to metal, it first puts it to twig for some reason, if you watch very closely you can see this happening.
Sad that there is no response from the plugin author even though he is online everyday.

Its perhaps that this has already been answered in previous posts (Building grades) and the answer itself is in your query, "it doesnt happen to players who have purchased the DLC" , players who did not buy the DLC should not be able to use its benefits by using a plugin that uses the skin(s) for the DLC

Obviously I mentioned that it doesn't happen if you bought the DLC to explain that it is a plugin issue mr smart brain.. So if the issue is known, then even more should it be fixed.pookins

Thank you for the compliment its not often i get one from the immature, My point was and is that you should not be able to use the benefits of a DLC unless you own it , if you have problems trying to emulate the skins then buy the DLC , I will now unwatch this thread (to the joy of those who are annoyed) as it is pointless
I found the problem, if the enemy or you shoot the stone wall, and if you upgrade it to metal skins, it will be upgraded to twig. then you cant upgrade it to metal, you instead upgrade it to wood after it its upgrade to twig and you will get metal or metal skins
