Default loot config?

hey I wanted to change the loot tables in rust, but when i loaded this plugin in, it looks like that all items by default have the same chance to appear. So any rare crates opened would have crap loot because a lot of junk has very low chance of appearing, like rand switches in oil rig crate, but with this plugin it has the same chance to appear. So the loot that is supposed to appear, gets drowned out by the loot that had its rarity upped by having this plugin.

I suppose I could just delete all the crap loot in the game.

But I wanted to make a small chance to looting, and i wanted to get my hands on the default settings of the game, but it looks like none of that is possible.

what chance is rarity 2? 50 percent? rarity 5 is 20 percent? rarity 50 is 2 percent? rarity 100 is 1 percent? rarity 1000 is 0.1 percent?

Also it looks like rarity is global, and can't configure it based on per container basis? so that makes it impossible to replicate the current loot system in rust with this plugin

It does not work at all like the game anymore, but it does have a weighting system. Not all items have the same 'chance' - rarity 0 items will get picked far more often then rarity 5(VeryRare). The plugin can not generate a default loottable, the items and amounts are wrong but you can get a default file at codefling. You are correct about the rarity override being global and not per container, but that is an easy fix.

Read the other help posts, one of them has an item list showing rarity

Your rarity can only be set by 1.2.3 or 4 ,
it takes a little while but you can put all the items you dont want to spawn in the blacklist or remove them from the loottable or items list.
I have been using this plugin since it first came out and although it takes a little time to set up it works with out any major dramas. I dont use any 3rd party lootlist creating programs and do it all manually,

it's 0-4 - no 5, mybad

(0)none (1)common (2)uncommon (3)rare (4)veryrare

generally items that don't spawn in crates normally have a default rarity of 0(like abovegroundpool). suggest avoiding the blacklist, if you read other posts you'll see.

0 is not listed as a rarity (what would be the point) and i have no problems with blacklist, and on reading other posts i see the main difficulties are that people would rather use a 3rd party (sometimes unreliable) loot configuration instead of taking their own time and getting it the way they want it by doing it themselves, as i said 7 years of using this and i find it the best loot plugin with very little drama

anything that i list using the weight system also makes it bugout.

Well I only see 3 and 4 listed in the default config those must be the only two! 7 years? you are really hard headed, I guess you didn't see the post with items and their default rarity.

I have read all the posts and take note when they describe something that might concern me, But as i have stated i have had no problems with this plugin , I will leave it at that, I only use rarity (2-3-4) for a few of the items in the loot list, i have a hundred or so in the blacklist and they never show up in available loot whether its barrels, chests, npc loot, BotRespawn , Hunter, Bradley events, DangerousTreasures or Fancydrop .
