I have a player that changed their steam name. Their name is changed in-game over their head, on their team, in rust admin, etc. But not in global chat. When I disable better chat it is changed, but when better chat is enabled it shows their old name still. 

Has this been reviewed at all? Any idea what the cause is?

did you ever find a solution to this? having a similiar issue, players name will show up on their character screen but when they join a team or type in global it shows up as the previous name until they disconnect and reconnect.

no, no solution. disconnecting didn't even work for me. i had to restart the server.
