Could you clarify what has changed ? , I still get the (chosen) colour for player rank and another (chosen) colour for player name and the same white text for chat, were players managing to change their own colours ? ,

Pretty sure most people will be glad that functionality (hack/whatever) is gone.

I wasn't having an issue with this in my server. Could you make this an option that we could turn on/off instead? So that those of us that want to keep it could continue to use the tag colors? Thank you

Not many people knew how to use the exploit, so not many server got to experience it.

You can still use colors for tags, names and messages. Im still able to have rainbow messages etc, only thing that changed was the inability to do it directly in a chat message

I switched back to the previous version. We use the tags for our game events to recognize winners and achievements. It's nice when their name stands out in the messages with their loyalty group color

Yes, a configurable option for it would be better.  If someone is exploiting/abusing it, ban them.

another vote for having this as an option.. so I don't have to keep manually patching the plugin on our server

There is an update for Better Chat Mentions, once I updated that one now my @mentions show the group colors again
