hi i have a small issue everything with the mod works fine permissions,groups etc BUT whenever i stop my server to do any changes, and the server is back online all the groups people was originally in are now reset to default [player] is there a way to stop this from happening?
also the permissions connected to any kits do not work after a restart of server and have to create new kits with new permissions each time :(

Did you create a groups folder in your BetterChat DATA folder ?, If not create the Folder then open it and create betterchat.json fiie
\oxide\data\BetterChat\Groups\BetterChat.json
To check if any groups you have created exist after restart try typing chat  "/chat group list" which should give you a list of any groups you have, If they have disappeared try "/chat group add (group name)" , you should get a confirmation reply,

there is a groups folder with the groups setup yes because people have there rank/group but after restart it resets and all aare [player]
the folder is still present after reset

Is the  "BetterChat.json" (adjusted) file still there ?. I  found a while ago that some groups were not saving because I got rid of some groups I did not use (like vip) so i left them in the file but made them inactive and it worked ok after that, had the same problem with PlayerRankings when I created ranks (with group in betterchat) and got rid of ones I did not use, so i left them in but made them inactive and it works great,

yes the file is still there with groups in it
