Hi, I have permissions set up to use commands but people keep joining as [player]. i do not have this group set up and i do not know how to change it so new users go into the lowest priority in my list of groups (n00b). Any help would be great!

The default group is what all players will be under, so I'd suggest just renaming that group tag to n00b if that is what you'd like.
i cannot find where the default group is located. i did not see it under config or data. thats why im confused

The information and example configuration that shows the "default" group and associated tag is shown on this plugin's page. That should be all you need, but I can't really help you otherwise as I am not familiar with this plugin, sorry.

@LaserHydra Is there any way to figure out why the player tag shows when it is not located in the config or data files. i have multiple groups set up and n00b is the default but people are still being set as player when they join.

One of the best sites to put your config or so is pastebin.com.
From the looks of things you removed your default group, which you should not be doing.
You can instead change the default group settings to have that "[n00b]" title, if that's what you're looking for. Otherwise you can also just completely hide the title for the default group and make sure it has the lowest priority.

The name of my n00b group was set to n00b when the groupname should have been default instead of n00b. Just in case anyone else has this issue.
