Mentions get filtered as bad word

I have a custom word replacement enabled on Better Chat Filter. The replacement word is also colored as follows

BOOP

When I attempt to @ mention somone on the server, Chat Filter flags the color HEX code as being a black listed word. Here is what I get.

[BetterChatFilter] BANNED WORDS MATCH : Lincoln said: "@[#b0fa66]Lincoln[/#]" which contained a bad word: "@[#b0fa66]Lincoln[/#]"

When I remove the color HEX codes from the custom output, it works fine.

Why would you need to use two filtering plugins? Sounds like it's just the @ that is the issue there.

Not sure what you mean boss. The only plugin I am using that is filtering words is Better Chat Filter.

Sorry, I must have misread what you wrote; thought you had mentioned using multiple filter plugins.

Oh, no that would be silly. Sorry, what I meant was a "custom message" for BetterChatFilter, rather than using the default message in the config file.
