Chinook infestation

Installed the latest version of the plugin earlier, and after restarting the server, used voteday until the plugin itself tried to spawn a Chinook. One spawned, flew around the map, dropped a crate, and left. Everything seemed like it worked fine.

Until I came back a few hours later.

I currently have 5 chinooks on my server, in various locations, with no AI, sitting on the ground. Several are underwater. There is also one active which is flying around the map correctly, for a total of 6 chinooks. I am unsure if they just aren't despawning correctly, or something else is going wrong.

EDIT: For the record I don't really have any plugins that would modify the AI or mechanics of entities on my server. The map size is 3500. I have some screenshots I took of the map.

That chinook I said was flying around correctly? Left the map without dropping a crate.

Did you disable the default ones?
shoot me your config map size and seed and I will test it.

I checked my config, and it seems that the default ones WERE running, so I turned it off.

That said, they still appear to not be dropping crates. I watched the latest chinook fly around the map, head to the mining outpost in the upper left corner of the map, and then just vanish.

The current map size is 3500, and the seed is 198523.

EDIT: Tried runevent, and it spawned a stationary chinook. Went over to it, and I was able to get into it and fly it around.

that is odd on my test server it flies. can you shoot me your plugin list, I run helicontrol so perhaps that is altering it, I will try it with that off.

I sat and waited for them to spawn, and the ones I watched that the plugin itself spawned USUALLY spawn correctly. But when I left the server running and came back after a while, or used the runevent command to trigger the event. It would spawn at ground level with no AI or scientists piloting it. It also seems as though it wasn't dropping a crate, and would just leave after flying around for a while.
I fixed the entity used for the Chinook, I had the wrong one, testing now.  It will take some time to make sure they clean up correctly.

EDIT: It appears that while the chinook now flies around, its still not dropping crates. However in the meantime I would imagine that Chinook Drop Randomizer can keep my players happy until we figure out whats going on.

Did some tweaks to force the type as the ch47 was still not dropping a crate.  Forced the type to see if that helps.  Updated on GitHub.
seems to be spawning the wrong chinook. have same experience exactly as noted above. hopefully you can provide a fix soon. this game suffers badly from no chinook drops with or without a mod. in a rare case they do manage somehow to drop something. very bugged. my guess the new oil rig monument messed everything up. was much happier before the new oil rig. they can keep it with 20 scientists. they should at least add the ability to adjust the amount of foes there.
The new variant flies right but is not dropping the crate consistently.  I will look at the helicontrol code to see if I am missing some secret sauce there.  the others seem to be running ok.
