I don't quite understand this sentence, why mislead the player?

Also, the commands are misleading and players wonder what to type cause of alle the < and >. :)

Don't care about that. Some player are just too dumb to do that.
I will change the command in the config and lang file.

Pretty much every plugin uses those to indicate it is a placeholder, so I'm not sure why they'd have an issue with this particular one. It could be said that players could have an issue if these aren't there, as they may think that is just part of the command...

/ad <type> <number>

I've seen confusion both ways, so there isn't really going to be a solid way to not confuse someone, so you'll just need to customize and cater to your userbase else they can learn.

a sort of solution might be to add a example in the lang file when player input is wrong. for example 

Wrong input, please do /ad all <number> example: /add all 10
