This just confuses me....
QUESTION: Why do some scientists have a box and no HUD and others had a HUD with no box??
it draws all npcs with a box initially and then npcs further than Drawing Distances -> NPC Players will be drawn with a box only.
I see that box when I am right up next to them... and them not far away have huds so the distance thing does not appear to be the issue.
correction, you should always see the box when you have Drawing Methods -> Draw Boxes enabled in the config for NPCs.
there have been some issues for quite some time with npcs not showing properly. this should fix it. do note that you should not see a box drawing when it is obstructed or too far from view due to limitations by the game. there are no such limitations for text drawings.

Yeah I heard there are significant changes in RUST coming that will affect nearly ALL of the mods... I worry because some mod developers are not as prompt as you :)
